Why are forests the home of many species ?

Why Forests the home of many species because We generally associate forests with trees, but fact is that a forest is a complex system of plants, animals and micro-organisms, and each is in a way, related to, and dependent on the other.

Did you know that one bird of the earth’s surface is covered by forests and two thirds of the species found on land live in these forests. The tropical rainforests by themselves contain around 50 percent of earth’s plant and animal species.

To put it in a nutshell, trees in the forest help create a special environment which, in turn, nurtures myriads of species of animals and plants that exist in the forest.
