Why is the voyager mission important?

Voyager 2 carried Man’s dreams of exploring space to the farthest limits of the solar system. Voyager 2 rose from our planets to find out more about Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Like its sister spacecraft Voyager 1, it was also designed to take advantage of a rare positioning of the planets. Voyager 2 fulfilled its promise. It few by Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune and continued its victorious journey in space. It reached the edges of the solar system. In September 2007, it crossed the termination shock that is the point where the speed of the solar wind falls below the speed of sound. This points is about 13 billion kilometres from the Sun.
