Why were the D-Day laggings a turning point in the bar ?

In June 1994, Allied leaders decided that it was time to attack Germany itself. Under the overall command of General Eisenhower, Allied troops landed in Normandy and advanced across France. Meanwhile, Soviet troops moved across eastern Europe.
